WE'RE NOT PERFECTLY PERFECT

BUT, GOD

IS.

It's True. We're Imperfectly Real.

Our page is imperfect.

In fact, our entire ministry is imperfect.

Our people are mere mortals.

Our content is aspirational.

Our process is a work-in-progress.

However, this is by God’s design, according to His purpose, and on His timing.

Like the unfolding of God’s Word, we approach everything as a seed that becomes a sapling that becomes a tree over time.

When we insist on immediate perfection–to the point of non-participation–then we are missing the point.

So we want you to know us for all of our imperfections in our raw humanity as we are transformed and integrated as a true body of Christ by God the Spirit.

If you have the humility to explore your imperfections with us–by making every effort to see this ministry with eyes focused on God’s vision, hear your brother/sister with ears that hear God’s invitation, and love with a heart that is open to intra- and inter-personal growth beyond your pre-existing condition–then you’ve come to the right place.

Welcome home, brother/sister!

We have been waiting for you and eagerly await what God will do through us as we walk together with Christ…

FAQ

Is being imperfect another way to shirk professional responsibility?

No. We believe very much in ethics (and particularly with virtue-based ethics, not fear-based ethics) that conform to the standards set out by the American Association of Christian Counselors and the American Counseling Association. Acknowledging our imperfections is merely our way of managing your expectations, which is essential to any relationship.

If your process is a work-in-progress, how is it Biblical?

God is the only One who is perfect and therefore does not need to change. We, however, are imperfect and therefore benefit from knowing more over time. It's kind of like any relationship where you know how to handle a person better the more you get to know them. It's dynamic.

When I pay top dollar for a service, I want the best. Are you suggesting that you are still figuring things out?

There's a difference between being a student who doesn't know anything because he/she hasn't done any learning yet versus one who is a life-long learner who is constantly honing his/her craft. We're of the latter persuasion, and that should give you comfort that we are familiar with and sifted through all the helpful developments. Think of it as we are chefs who are still dedicated to cooking the tastiest/healthiest food, and that drives us to know what each individual taster subjectively thinks is tasty and what new cooking ingredients/utensils are available to use.
