Do you only provide book club materials or do you actually facilitate the discussion?
We do both. Having materials helps to facilitate the discussion because participants have structure. But without active and purposeful discussion, many insights are left on the proverbial table.
Do you do cover an entire book in one session?
The number of sessions and even the length of any book review or film screening is dependent upon the requester(s) own desires. The more time that is allotted, the deeper we can get.
How do you select books to review or films to screen?
All selections are made based upon the historical significance or systemic impact that is evidenced. However, we must keep in mind that art is subjective and selection is ultimately determined by the target audience's values.
