TESTIMONIALS

Witnesses in an Otherwise Silent World

When we experience Christ, we know how good it is to testify to His goodness, even when shame and guilt had once held us back.

Confidentiality is a necessary prerequisite for building a therapeutic alliance, and our informed consent reflects that.  It is natural for counselees to have this before feeling comfortable enough to share what David Powlison called the “fine china of their lives.”  And yet, similar to the passionate Christians who offer hearfelt testimonies at their baptisms, we have found that the counselees who have come a long way, are the ones who feel the need to shout from the rooftops of their newly recognized freedom.

Here we respect our brave brothers/sisters-in-Christ by honoring their wishes to boldly tell others how good the Great Counselor has been to them through Biblical counseling.  May others be encouraged to similarly draw near to Him!

(Deuteronomy 8:19; John 1:34; John 3:11; John 15:27).

Counseling Environments

If you are entering the counseling office for the first time or the umpteenth time, it can be hard to feel safe.  Whether it is by surrounding you with a group of members who have been hand-picked to be mutually supportive because they share similar (but never exactly the same) aspects, or by engaging through a HIPAA-compliant secure virtual connection from your own private space, you can rest reassured.

Open, Ongoing, Psycho-Education Workshops

“My first impression was this person is courageous. He was the facilitator in a boardroom for a major corporation on Madison Ave. in NY. It was an instant visualization of personal priorities where it was apparent that the fear or respect of God was more important in his life than the fear of man. He not only showed leadership abilities in guiding the lesson but tremendous scriptural knowledge. He was intentionally inclusive which made me feel that I was not invisible and challenged me to step out in an unfamiliar situation. His desire to help others is paramount and it comes across in everything he does.”
— Workshop Participant; Manhattan, New York

Closed, Time-Bound, Skills Development Workshops

“`{`The participant`}` still uses some of those mechanisms today. So that really proved to me that those things helped. Just out of that short amount of time... it was only a couple of hours on a Sunday—and then even just for the grief part—that was two hours one day that `{`the ICHTHYSroe group facilitator was`}` able to identify with her pain and not everyone can do that. That takes a very special individual who really cares about what they're doing and it's a gift and `{`he`}` definitely `{`has`}` it.”
— Workshop Participant; Columbia, Maryland

Closed, Time-Bound, Support Groups

“He is a rare gem when it comes to doing this type of work. The level of commitment, character, integrity, and transparency that he has shown throughout our group healing and trauma counseling sessions have been unparalleled.”
— Workshop Participant; Bowie, Maryland

Visualization & Expressive Arts, Interpersonal Processing Groups

“Being able to listen to the music and just breathe and be calm.... from that experience through the healing visualization and sounds and just by `{`the ICHTHYSroe group facilitator`}` being able to say her son's name ... The key thing here was that `{`he`}` remembered his name and `{`he`}` said his name and by `{`the participant`}` hearing his name.... It was... another way for her to release her pain that she had been holding inside and she had steps to `{`take`}` that she could visualize and she could take it away not just for that particular healing group.”
— Co-Facilitator, Trauma Healing Group; Columbia, Maryland

Tele-Therapy Sessions

“Thank you, because when `{`the counselor`}` and `{`my child`}` started talking over zoom 2 weeks ago, he got much `{`more`}` comfortable using the laptop and navigating thru `{`sic`}` it. And when his online class started he is much comfortable doing it. He’s doing so good in school.”
— Mother and Member of Brooklyn Evangelical Church; Brooklyn, New York

Care-Team Collaboration

If you are answering God’s call to counsel at a deeper level and to a broader extent, then you know how isolating the helping profession can be for Christians who counsel.  We have all been brought together as many members of the one body by one Spirit, so that we can care for one another.

See what some of our extended care team members have to say about our Biblical counselors.

Mentor

“I have observed `{`ICHTHYSroe Biblical counselor`}` to be a clinician with high-level skills; bringing to the table unique Biblical distinctives that are balanced by the basic building blocks of counseling. In his sessions, he shows a clear concern for the person in front of him by structuring an inquisitive curiosity-drive relationship. He has a great way of asking questions, listening, summarizing and operationally defining what the problem is. He strikes a nice middle ground of validating and affirming, but also is purposeful about pushing people to do the work in pursuit of an agreed upon goal.”

— Dr. Todd Stryd; Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation; Glenside, Pennsylvania

External Group Leader — Female

“`{`The ICHTHYSroe group facilitator`}` is very nurturing. You could hear in the way that she speaks: that she's loving and caring and very engaging and can identify with `{`people`}`. You can tell: even if she may not have experienced the pain herself—just by her speaking with her tone and her loving—it's just compassionate, and that's definitely needed to facilitate the trauma healing groups.”

— Trauma Healing Group Leader; Kingdom Fellowship AME Church; Calverton, Maryland

External Group Leader — Male

“My impression of `{`the Biblical group facilitator`}` was that he was very knowledgeable of the material... very engaging... empathetic.... When one of the participants was speaking about their trauma, with the loss of their son, `{`the Biblical group facilitator`}` showed such emotion and concern; and that experience caused the individual to .... experience a breakthrough as `{`he`}` cried with her.”
— Trauma Healing Group Leader; Kingdom Fellowship AME Church; Calverton, Maryland

External Group Co-Facilitator

“Even `{`the ICHTHYSroe group facilitator`}` helping her helped me. Because even though I wasn't there in the class to be ministered to, I actually gained some healing from that too because I struggled with the same thing.``
— Co-Facilitator; Staten Island, New York

Supervision Group Member — Social Worker

“`{`ICHTHYSroe Biblical counselor`}` is a gifted and knowledgeable teacher on the subject of counseling from both a Biblical and secular perspective. His ability to communicate complex topics with clarity, creativity and precision is rare, but it's his genuine love and respect for his clients and the work they courageously embark on that I find to be his most remarkable attribute.”
— April Shatraw; Great Lakes

Supervision Group Member — School Counselor

“Wow! Amazing!' are the two words that came to my mind when I listened to your presentation. Job very well done! Thank you for educating us! ... Your notes and your presentation are very insightful, they help to provide a ``map`` for me to work with my clients. I also hope to follow your format when I do my case presentation in the future. Thank you .... for sharing with us your great work!”
— Vivien Ngai; Manhattan, New York

Supervision Group Member — Counselor

``{ICHTHYSroe Biblical counselor} is a deeply compassionate, supportive, and caring counselor and a co-worker. The handing off of my client to him was very smooth: accompanied by transparent and clear communication and words of encouragement. The quality of client-care he provides is also thorough, checking in via email and providing guiding questions. He embodies Christ's kindness, strength, and hope in his words and approach. It was an honor and great pleasure to work with him!``
— Shine L.; Philippines

Pastoral Care-Giver

“The session helped me count the Lord’s blessings, express my concerns, adjust my current situation, and learn new techniques.… The counselor not only comforted me, but also taught me to be a more loving caregiver. He provided great tips and clear directions such as asking positive encouraging questions, new ways to pray with my family…. Whereas, other pastoral counselors in the past might not be able to give out useful/practical tips like this for me/my family, due to their non-biblical-counseling backgrounds.”
— Enoch Fellowship Leader; Staten Island, New York

Supervisee — WTS

“I met `{`my supervisor`}` at Westminster Theological Seminary a few years back. I was way over my head and overwhelmed with all the information. `{`With his`}` heart and compassion to help people `{`he`}` reached out to me and offered his time, encouragement, and knowledge generously. He walked side by side with me through all my struggles and helped me when I was stuck without me ever needing to ask for his help. He shared his knowledge freely and, when I was struggling, helped me brainstorming different perspectives, which lead to me understanding what God wanted me to learn and grasp. He was always willing to help, teach and encourage. His passion for Christ and ministry makes him a mover and shaker for Christ. He is a gifted teacher and mentor, and I am privileged that God crossed our paths and look forward to helping people through ICHTHYSroe ministry.”
— Retha Theron; Applied Ministry Program; South Africa

Supervisee — Licensed Mental Health Counselor

“I'm grateful for `{`my supervisor's`}` passion and dedication in teaching biblical counseling. This experience underscored the importance of specialized training in biblical counseling. Simply identifying as a Christian and having clinical training from Christian universities isn't always enough to effectively apply these strategies. Learning from Ronnie has been incredibly valuable; his enthusiasm for his ministry is evident, and he's always willing to take the time to help others grow. His guidance on using biblical counseling to serve God and others has been immensely beneficial.”

— Antoinette Burnett; LMHC; Queens, NY

Quality Relationship Time

If you are trying to start or raise a family, you know how desperately you need help.  We were never meant to do it alone or even with only one other person.  It takes a village.  So here we are.  Welcome home.

See what some of the members of our extended family-in-Christ have to say about our Biblical counselors.

Marriage — Newlyweds

“Our cadence of sessions, individual and joint sessions, `{`makes`}` it . . . easier to unpack our ideas separately and with `{`our counselor`}` being the common denominator, `{`he is`}` able to figure out and help us identify mutual blind spots that prevent us from coming up with the right solution . . . . I can vouch that there's been progress and success made. A lot of the thoughts or topics that we talk about in our joint sessions come from the ideas that `{`he`}` help`{`s`}` us connect . . . . or questions that `{`he has`}` us `{`ask`}` . . . . whereas when it's just `{`us`}`, there's a high likelihood that we wouldn't think of it. Without the proper questions guiding us to the finish point, we would likely not go through the right path and get to the conversation points that materialize.”
— Mr. & Mrs. Cheung; Singapore

Marriage — Wife

“`{`ICHTHYSroe Biblical counselor`}` is able to discern the root of what people care about or have a problem with in order to help them understand themselves and the truth of what God is doing in their lives. He cares by asking questions instead of telling people what to do—to help them think. He also cares about people and encourages them, specifically to what they need encouragement for. And `{`he`}` is prophetic, in that he speaks God’s truth to people. He shares the Gospel truth…”
— Newlywed and Sunday School Teacher at Redeemer Presbyterian Church; Manhattan, NY

Marriage — Husband

“`{`My wife`}` mentioned that even in our marriage sessions, there are some new ideas that I bring up that I normally wouldn't come up directly with `{`her`}`. Maybe she's noticing that because of the types of questions `{`our counselor`}` ask`{`s`}`, `{`he is`}` enabling me to reach certain perspectives . . . . our `{`typical`}` conversations aren't as deep or as the ones that arise at our marriage or individual counseling sessions. So that's one feedback that `{`my wife's`}` shared with me. But she has recognized that a lot of the questions that `{`our counselor`}` walk`{`s`}` us through come from a lot of `{`his`}` guiding us to think. This is something that we've been trying to work out for some time.”
— Husband; Ethnos Church; New Jersey

Marriage — Domestic Violence

“The session also helped me realize all the things I have done to sacrifice for my family… `{`with`}` the compassion God has given to me… how I’m pouring the love of God onto others. How I keep on giving even when others are not giving me anything… the session helped me think about what I want `{`my daughters`}` to take from … everything I’m doing for them…. `{`My Biblical counselor helped me`}` realize that I’m a loving and giving person… I let my care for others blind side me of my own need and I fall prey to being taken advantage of. I keep giving to the point of depleting my own livelihood. I should have some boundaries to my resources but most importantly to my heart.”
— Wife suffering from devaluation in abusive marriage; New Jersey

Marriage — Reconciliation

“The reason why I came to `{`my ICHTHYSroe Biblical counselor`}` is because I knew that `{`he`}` always uses logic but only from the Bible…. sometimes I’m scared because what `{`he`}` says is so different from what my pastor and other counselor says, but it always lines up with God’s Word. Our sessions are very helpful … lamenting to God … `{`seeing`}` the issues between me and `{`my wife are`}` due to different vision and values …. praying to God about issues which I am feeling in heart and seeking His help… praying to God about `{`my wife`}`. `{`The homeworks help me`}` implement the points we covered… and this has helped me to know what is a biblical husband… what is a biblical wife… what is a biblical marriage?”
— Ash Tewari; Husband; Florida

Marriage — Ministry

```{`Biblical counseling`}` gives us more confidence that we can do this now. I appreciate `{`our counselor because`}` I feel that `{`he`}` see`{`s`}` and understand`{`s`}` both of us. And that gives us the confidence. When we have `{`him`}` we are able to be more focused and unafraid of the response of the other person because `{`he`}` help`{`s`}` us digest it. I'm not intimidated `{`and my husband's`}` also less intimidated to receive something from `{`our counselor`}`, because now that we can process it and frame it better or `{`our counselor can`}` just tell us if we're wrong. And that gives us more confidence in how we're processing than when we are doing it solo.``
— Mrs. Jou; Pastor's Wife; Queens, New York
Parenting — Children
“`{`ICHTHYSroe Biblical counselor`}` has a passion for Christ and he has a good spirit… `{`he is`}` an encouragement by helping others including me and my family. He is someone to be trusted and is very caring for children as well.”
— Mother and Member; Park Slope Community Church; Brooklyn, New York
Parenting — Pre-Teen
“Thank you for taking the time to help `{`my son`}`. You came at the right time. God is good and He is all sufficient. I appreciate that you diligently connect with my son. He is excited and looks forward to talking to you. Thank you for listening to him and letting him understand what he feels. And most especially thank you for magnifying God’s love to him. Thank you sincerely.”
— Mother of male child counselee; Staten Island, New York
Parenting — Teenagers
“I was blessed to identify my own fears being an obstacle to `{`my daughter`}` … `{`and`}` for the 1st time in 2 months I prayed with my girls. `{`My Biblical counselor helped me to realize that`}` I’m trying to guide `{`my daughter`}` from my past while she’s looking ahead to her future. Letting my fears cage both her and I… could prevent her from reaching her dreams. `{`My Biblical counselor helped me see that`}` I should invite God into my hurts and pains and let God be sovereign in `{`my daughter’s`}` life… find wholeness and healing in God to learn and grow from this experience … and build a strong and loving relationship with my daughters.``
— Mother of teenage daughters; New Jersey
Family
“We spend so much money on tutors so that our kids can be good at `{`sports and music`}` . . . . but what about counselors for our weaknesses? It `{`should be`}` the same thing with relationships. `{`When we're`}` struggling to deal with relationships . . . I need help . . . my wife needs help . . . my kids need help . . . I dont understand them and they dont understand me. It works the same way . . . nothing is more important than relationships--more than math or golf--but we need to think about it that way . . . . look at what you can prevent if you had a counselor . . . . if we had counseling we wouldn't be in this situation.”
— M. Lee; New York
Adoption / Kinship
“Am so much thankful to `{`ICHTHYSroe Biblical counselor`}` for the words of Bible `{`he`}` taught us at the moment. This increased my faith of trusting God in any situation whether the hardships am facing and I pray and trust in Him that he can open the way to overcome such situation. This can also help the children to know the presence of God.”
— Female adolescent; Arusha, Tanzania
Elder-Care
“Before the counseling session with `{`the counselor`}`, my father did not see its importance. He said he just want to give it a try for 1 session, since I already scheduled it. Yet after the session with `{`the counselor`}`, he said he will continue with it weekly. He said he would help him. I am grateful that God gave us `{`our counselor`}`, who is so loving and good at Christian counseling. It really helps lessen the workload and worries of my entire family.”
— Daughter of elder counselee; Brooklyn, New York
Therapeutic Relationships
If you are hiring someone to help you, you know how hard it is to find someone who is a highly qualified professional for your specific situation.  This is usually a trade-off to finding a servant of God who has been trained to apply Biblical truth in practical ways.  To find someone who is both and is someone you can share the most intimate details of your struggle with?  That requires a referral from God.
See what some of the recipients of our member care have to say about our Biblical counselors.
Adjustment / Psychosocial Stressors
``I appreciate `{`my counselor`}`'s care for me. He really cares about me not just as a therapist, but as a brother in Christ, as a human being. `{`He`}` wants to support me even when I'm financially challenged. `{`My counselor`}` challenges me every session. He challenges me to become what God wants me to be. He speaks the truth to me, which is what I appreciate and seek in therapy. I love that `{`my counselor`}` prays for me at the end of every session. His faith and love for others have made a positive impact on me. I'm inspired by him and I'm very thankful that I found him.``
— 刘丹妮; Overseas Clinician; China
Obsessions & Compulsions
“I’m not a strong Christian and already had a secular cognitive-behavioral therapist when I was introduced to `{`my Biblical counselor`}`. But I continued to see him because he understands me. He describes my situation very well and I know his guidance is right. He is very patient. When I can’t do my homework, he gently guides me through my exposure therapy in the session. If `{`everyone`}` was like that, then I would get well very soon. They don’t understand me or have the patience to slowly understand the way `{`he does`}`. I have a hard time accepting others’ treatment but `{`my Biblical counselor`}` exemplies what it means to be a counselor who is patient, loving, and insightful. I am confident he can support me overcome my challenges over time.”
— Multi-Cultural Counselee; Staten Island, New York
Anxiety
“Thank you for another powerful session in the presence of God. I thank you for the picture you created for us. I’m happy that we had a `{`family`}` group session especially for `{`my daughter who is suffering from anxiety`}`… I’m happy that we got a chance to rescue her heart. I want to continue to draw `{`her`}` heart out… get her to be more expressive…. I’m grateful how `{`our Biblical counselor`}` is getting us to discover ourselves. It’s like taking a flashlight to reveal the dark places in our life. I pray we continue to grow in that path.”
— Mother of female child counselee suffering anxiety; New Jersey
Panic Attacks
“Thank you `{`ICHTHYSroe`}`, `{`my counselor has`}` helped me a lot over the past months. `{`He has`}` been there for me helping me see … both sides of the story. `{`He has`}` also helped me calm down … not letting my anxiety take over me. I learned to be better and to breathe and how to come to God if I am feeling bad.”
— Adolescent with panic disorder; New Jersey
Depression
“We have had a number of sessions which have been very helpful. He is far better than my previous therapist. He recognizes the importance of allowing the patient to speak but he also knows when he needs to interject and voice his thoughts. I am especially delighted that he does not drown me in scripture verses. However, he does bring up relevant scripture that I had not previously considered which encourages me to reassess my original beliefs.”
— Counselee; Manhattan, New York
Bipolar
“I had already been feeling better, but seeing `{`my Biblical counselor`}` gave me the confidence to move forward even while feeling depressed and apprehensive. He showed me that there was nothing holding me back but myself. I was motivated by just the couple sessions we had together and started a Women’s Bible Study.”
— Sister-in-Christ; Trinity Grace Church Park Slope; Brooklyn, New York
Trauma
“Before seeing my counselor, I was misdiagnosed by a secular psychiatrist. To make matters worse, others were saying that I was making a big deal out of nothing, and that I should forget about it and move on. But `{`my Biblical counselor`}` took the time to listen, listen, and listen. He didn’t rush me and made sure that he understood me so well that I began to understand my own feelings more and more.”
— Counselee; Singapore
Chronic Pain
“I’m grateful for... all the sessions we had.... being able to release my pain and hurt to God. Validating that it was normal to feel the way I did... helped in my healing process. It was painful crying out from the depths of my soul. I could not utter words ... as my soul was in anguish. I found true connection to God through `{`my Biblical counselor who is helping me learn`}` how to be whole and strong. May God bless you... for all you pour on us.”
— Counselee; New Jersey
Existential Questioning / Suicidal Ideation
“`{`Biblical counseling with ICHTHYSroe`}` is pretty good. It makes me have a better view of what Christianity is like. It helps me to sort out my thoughts. It is self-reflective. It helps me out a lot. Therapy gives you insight . . . and Christian counseling helps you look more deeper into your Christian faith . . . . It helps give me more insight into myself . . . be more self reflective . . . . I have trouble seeing myself as `{`good`}` too. There's a saying that other people know you more than you know yourself . . . . `{`our conversations`}` gives more insight into who `{`I am`}` . . . . `{`My Biblical counselor is`}` like an older brother . . . protective . . . more mature.”
— Counselee; Brooklyn, New York
Grief & Loss — Individual
“Talking with `{`the ICHTHYSroe Biblical counselor`}` showed me that loss and grief came in many different ways. While we are not in control 100%, but we can still manage how to handle and honor our own feelings. Our time together made me feel lighter. I still experienced `{`physical symptoms like headache`}` but I felt lighter and it changed my position to be more positive going forward. `{`The ICHTHYSroe Biblical counselor`}` was helpful- great listener and offered different perspectives.”
— Yanci Chen; Loving Daughter; Queens, New York
Grief & Loss — Group
“`{`The facilitator`}` is an articulate, sensitive, caring man who is gifted with not only the desire for helping others but genuinely demonstrates his humanity and love for people through his counseling sessions . . . . `{`He`}` exhibits professional competence, social awareness, leadership capabilities, sound judgement, dedication to the principles and practice of counseling, excellent listening and discernment skills, and determination to make a positive impact and difference.”
— Lydia Hunt; Loving Mother; Bowie, Maryland
Personal/Professional Integrity
If you are a Christian in the secular workplace, you know challenging it can be.  There are internal and external pressures to leave your personal identity/ethics at the door when you enter the office.  We can help you to not sacrifice to maintain a professional identity, and even bring your whole self to work in order to do more than non-Christian peers.
See what some of the leaders of our professional members have to say about our Biblical counselors.
Workplace Chaplaincy
“I recently returned to work after a tragedy struck my family and . . . . what `{`he`}` did for me was nothing short of a miracle for me. We met, small talk and then `{`he`}` inquired about my faith and if he could pray with me. I shared the story of my grandson loosing his life from a gunshot. Our hearts were broken and kinda lost. My family was forever changed. Let me tell YOU! `{`He`}` prayed for me and with me and I felt the power of God through his prayer about what I needed right then. What the power of prayer can do! Move mountains on behalf of my family. I thank `{`him`}` for allowing God to use `{`him`}` and not be afraid to share a word with a complete stranger. Proverbs 3:5-6.”
— Charlene Jarman; Faithful Grandmother and Diligent Team Leader; Springfield, Missouri
Professional Ethics
“I came from religions and cultures where people would do those things that God does not like, and I don’t want to go back, so when someone stands up for what God tells us, it means a lot to me…. `{`ICHTHYSroe Biblical counselor's`}` guidance, always based on the Word, has been a help to me at a moment of an extremely fiery trial in workplace.”
— Whistleblower at Fortune 500 company; Dallas, Texas
Corporate Politics
“I look forward to our sessions . . . . although in some ways its odd that the more urgent our sessions are, the more overwhelmed I feel but overall I enjoy hearing `{`my counselor's`}` perspectives and the advice `{`he`}` provide`{`s`}` . . . . Always appreciated of `{`his`}` time and whatever `{`he`}` can offer.”
— Senior Manager; Biotech; New Jersey
Executive Coaching
“The counselor was very flexible and friendly and he made a lot of effort to get me comfortable. In the session, he was really good at active listening, and asked me a lot of hard questions that needed to be answered. For the time between sessions, he also gave me exercises to help organize my thoughts. The thing that I appreciated the most was the counselor has a background as a corporate executive and understands the pressures of working in a high-performance environment. Without counseling, I may be able to figure out the right approach over a longer period of time or I may end up going in the wrong direction. It was helpful having him look at my situation from an outside point of view but to also know that he has been in the corporate work environment. He understands the demands and gave me good ideas, making the sessions valuable.”
— Charles Kang; Executive Director, Product Management; Irvine, California
Vocational Community
“I smiled . . . when I saw `{`the facilitator's`}` ping. I am happy to see `{`the group`}` active . . . . `{`as`}` I . . . miss getting the daily pings `{`whenever the group is not`}`. The daily pings make me STOP and think about what is truly important. It felt like a gift last week as it was just before the celebration of `{`Jesus'`}` birth.”
— Michelle Floriolli-White; Vice President, Operations; Delaware
(Para) Church Partnerships
If you are an undershepherd of God’s flock, you know how serious you are about those you partner with.  It is critical to have godly men and women who you can entrust your members with.  We know how heavy the responsibility is, and will be honored to bear the burden with you in the way that God has called us to together.
See what some of the leaders of our organizational partners have to say about our Biblical counselors.
Missionary / Member Care
“`{`This is`}` God's family striving together for the sake of His glory and the good of others. ICHTHYSroe Biblical Counseling is a God sent partner in my personal, family, and church’s battle with my depression, anxiety and PTSD. Having been medicated and secularly counseled for years with unchanging results and increasing intensity, God has sent me a counselor, brother, and discipler `{`through ICHTHYSroe`}`. Knowing that this is a spiritual war for my sanity, redemption of family relationships and effective Gospel ministry, I needed the genuine love, care and training that God has equipped `{`him`}` with. His genuine concern, investment in support and teaming with my church leadership and providing clear Biblical exercises and goals are exactly what I was missing and need to be helped out of the wilderness.”
— Chris S.; Missionary and Military Veteran; EMEA
Church Leadership
“`{`ICHTHYSroe Biblical counselor`}` is extremely humble and sensitive, desiring always to represent Christ in his relationships to others, a keen listener, and a very sincere friend to those who know him. We would all take lessons from `{`him`}`; he challenges us to be more Christ-centered in our daily walk. He has a very great compassion for all. Definitely I would recommend him to a mentoring role for my children. I have a complete trust in `{`him`}` for ethical, moral, spiritual and social guidance.”
— Erwin Kinsey; Council Chairman, Arusha Community Church; Ngaramtoni, Tanzania
Churchplanting
“`{`ICHTHYSroe Biblical counselor`}` has a vast knowledge and insight to anticipate the decisions that people make. He can quickly ascertain the cause and effect of the decisions, while offering wisdom and information on making a better decision. Yet, in a very real way, all of `{`his`}` intellectual abilities are secondary to `{`his`}` relationship with the Lord. `{`He`}` loves the Lord with all of his heart, soul, mind, and strength. But, just as evident, is that `{`he`}` also desires to see others come to know the Lord. It is important for me to convey that I have personally recognized that `{`he`}` has demonstrated a love for people. ... I have seen him spend evenings listening to people and loving people, that many people would have ignored or would have been indifferent.”
— Sterling Edwards; Church Planting Catalyst, North American Mission Board; Long Island, NY
Multicultural Church
“I have come to know `{`this Biblical counselor`}` as a person who is passionate for the things of God; his faith is very evident and has effectively flowed into all... he engages... life personally, his family, and in relating to others.... encourag`{`ing them`}` with this hope and confidence through faith in Christ.... merging his learning and Biblical counseling skills to serve God and His people. I feel this can be quite fitting and appropriate `{`as`}` more and more of individuals and families needing this type of Biblical perspective counseling.”
— Reverend Tim Chen; Pastor, Grace Chinese Alliance Church; Brooklyn, NY
International Children's Ministries
“`{`ICHTHYSroe Biblical counselor`}` is kind and caring. He is particularly good at working with children, and they like him. He is creative and enthusiastic. He is a caring and creative teacher. He is good at motivating students to learn by making activities fun and challenging.”
— Reverend with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America; Arusha, Tanzania
